A unique offering at the during “Family Week” at the Omega Institute, Leslie Salmon Jones and Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo present “Afro Flow Yoga with Poetry & Rhythm” 5-day workshop:
Experience this creative, unique fusion of Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga with the dances of the African Diaspora. Afro Flow Yoga™ creator, Leslie Salmon Jones, is joined by holistic percussionist and poet, Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo, to guide students on a transformational journey of heart opening dances of West Africa and the Caribbean, yoga, meditation and poetry—all interwoven with the healing rhythms of live drumming.
These sessions open up and reinforce pathways to effective self-expression by re-connecting students to their “poetic core” and exposing the inherent power we all have to transform our lives by living from this joyous place.
Together, we will celebrate the freedom of sacred movement and spoken word in a non-judgmental environment. Connect with the elements of nature and tap in to the power of the collective, creative energy!
